MUSHROOM AND LE CHAMPAÎTRE FRITTATA

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bacon, diced
  • 2 225 g packs of crimini or mixed mushrooms
  • 8 eggs
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) 15% cream
  • Ground pepper
  • A few fresh thyme sprigs
  • 170 g of Le Champaître cheese, sliced

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F). In a large oven-safe frying pan, cook the bacon and mushrooms on medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 2

Beat the eggs with the cream, and add pepper to taste. Add the fresh thyme sprigs.

Step 3

Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan. Cook the frittata on low heat until it starts to solidify. Cover it all in cheese and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, as desired.
