MUSHROOM AND LE CHAMPAÎTRE FRITTATAFebruary 23, 2015 by Fromagerie Rang 9
- 8 slices of bacon, diced
- 2 225 g packs of crimini or mixed mushrooms
- 8 eggs
- 60 ml (¼ cup) 15% cream
- Ground pepper
- A few fresh thyme sprigs
- 170 g of Le Champaître cheese, sliced
Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F). In a large oven-safe frying pan, cook the bacon and mushrooms on medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
Beat the eggs with the cream, and add pepper to taste. Add the fresh thyme sprigs.
Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan. Cook the frittata on low heat until it starts to solidify. Cover it all in cheese and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, as desired.
